I am a Portland Oregon based artist, educator and certified Speech Language Pathology Assistant. I specialize in teaching Non-Toxic Printmaking. After earning my BFA in Printmaking from PNCA in 2000, I began working with youth and realized that many of the processes I studied are far too toxic and costly to teach in many youth programs. This is when I decided to focus on non-toxic methods of Relief, Intaglio, Stencil and Screen Printing. All using recycled materials and without a printing press. Making printmaking accessible to everyone has become my passion and, as a result, I created a unique class that brings a bold splash of color, texture and humor to any youth program. I have enjoyed teaching a variety of other topics including: Digital Photography, Computer Arts, Typing and Basic Computer Skills to people of all ages and abilities, through my time with David Douglas School District, PNCA, Camp Caldera, Saturday Academy and Grace Institute.
